Talking about Transition to DryNites® Pants

Here are a few talking points to help you prepare for your conversation with your child about wearing DryNites Pyjama Pants

If your child is dry all day, congratulations! They’re done potty training. Staying dry at night is a whole different task though, and nighttime dryness often lags daytime potty training. For many kids, it can take a longer time to master, but it usually happens naturally as children grow. While ending bedwetting is simply a matter of your child’s physical development, there are things you can do to make the transition smoother.

Consider transitioning your child to DryNites® Pyjama Pants. They can help tyour child stay more confortable at night, get a good night-s sleep and wake up awesome.

If your child is younger and recently potty trained, they probably won’t be bothered by bedwetting as they’re too young to feel pressure about this from other kids. If your child is older and has been potty trained for a while, you can remind them that, when bedwetting, underwear — the regular cloth type they wear during the day — will just leave them uncomfortable and wet and result in a wet mattress and bedding.

Wow, you’re quite a Big Kid – you’ve finished potty training!

Sometimes even older kids wake up wet.

You’re growing up and getting bigger, and your body is growing too. One day you’ll start to feel when you need to go potty at night.

"For now, we’re going to make sure you’re comfortable at night and that you get a good night's sleep. That way, you can have lots of energy to play all day. These DryNIites® are for kids just like you who are potty trained but still need a little extra protection at night.

Look – they have fun characters on them like Spiderman and Frozen. Let’s try them on and see how they work.

We can put them on right under your favourite pyjamas. What do you think?

Growing up can sometimes be unpredictable, but bedwetting can be managed. That way, it won’t become an ongoing source of anxiety, and your child can wake up awesome and enjoy just being a kid!"
